Alpha/Gotham Distribution DVD??
Hi. Quite a few titles I'm interested in (I'm a big fan of weird, really bad, old movies!) list on Amazon as being by Gotham Distribution.
Hardly anywhere else has them, but some of them list identically (cover, details etc) as being by Alpha Video.
For example, DVDpacific (who do about the best prices, and their International shipping rates are reasonable - I'm in the UK by the way) list some of the Gotham titles but show them as being released by Alpha, while some titles they don't list at all. eg "The Mad Monster" - listed on Amazon.com as being by Gotham. Not on DVDpacific at all. Yet "The Monster Maker" lists on Amazon as Gotham, but appears on DVDPacific as being released by Alpha!
Is Gotham a subdivision of Alpha, or something?
And do either Alpha Video or Gotham Distribution have a website, showing their catalogues?
Why do only Amazon carry the Gotham titles...annoying, as Amazon charge huge fees to ship to me in the UK.
Even stranger, neither Alpha nor Gotham appear to distribute outside the US, so I can't get them from my preferred (Canadian) International Supplier. They have many of these titles, but by someone called "CHV" (Canada Home Video?) and they're about three times the price of their US counterparts.

Alpha Video sells directly to consumers via its own web site, Oldies.com (http://www.oldies.com). I believe that Gotham Distribution is simply the distributing arm of Alpha. You'll see from Oldies.com that Alpha produces more than just DVDs.
Alpha's shipping to England is listed as $4.99 per order and $1.99 per item. But it sells most of its DVDs more cheaply than Amazon. For example, Mad Monster is $5.95 at Alpha vs. $7.98 at Amazon.

Excellent, that's everything I needed to know, thanks!
Most of the Alpha titles are available from DVDPacific, but the Gotham ones aren't (curious, as they are both really one and the same). They're even cheaper - $3.65 - as is the shipping to me ($1.98 per order, plus $0.99 per disc), so that's why I want to use them! But the ones that they don't, I'll order from Oldies direct, as it's cheaper than Amazon. Amazon were the only ones who seem to list the "Gotham" ones, though most stores have the "Alpha" titles.
I'm also going to email Pacific to see if they can add them to their site - they said they'd try to do this, if I could let them have the details. I can do that, now I can find their distributor's homepage.
Thanks once again for the info!
