I haven't seen it, but people who have say that the Mormon character's religion isn't even explicitly mentioned in the film.

Haven't seen it yet, but I've got it ordered. Comes out in a week and half. Supposedly it's a good war film. I think it won Best Picture at a bunch of film festivals.

I think you will be fine. The characters religious believes are nicely integrated into the whole story. It is a very good movie and I think you will enjoy it. I did.

Is this movie in widescreen? DDD's listing shows it in 1.33 format. Surely that's just a typo.

Does anyone know if the dvd will be rated R or Pg-13? I know the film carried both ratings at one point but I don't know if it was edited/cut or just re-submitted to the MPAA.

Yeah, good question. I saw this mentioned in one of the reviews on Amazon. Have no idea.

I've got my copy scheduled to ship with my June 7th order of Star Trek: Insurrection and Tears of the Sun - DC.

according to dvdempire, it's PG-13..

the "official" store for the film, http://deseretbook.com/store/product...t_id=100106913 shows "Rating: PG-13"

according to this article from the way I read it, http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,590041363,00.html it seems like they originally gave it a R rated but were able to talk them into giving it a PG-13..so It seems like (to me) it was just re-submited and they were given the PG-13.

Saw the movie yesterday. 1:85:1 DD 5.1 & 2.0, Director's commentary, behind the scenes, trailer, english subs only. Can anyone advise on image quality. There are some scenes which look too grainy. Overall great film and a bit underated.
