Was this a Canadian show? I'd never heard of until about a year ago but it sounds really cool. If it ever comes out I might have to give this a blind buy. Anyone know a good site for this show?

I don't think this was Canadian, I'm pretty sure Lorimar did it, same exactly production people behind "Tales from the Darkside" did this show.
I have the three volumes of VHS tapes they released a few years ago. I used to watch the reruns on Sci-Fi Channel, back when Sci Fi channel was actually a decent station. The show is fun, but not that great.

Personally, I really liked Monsters. I thought that far and away it was the best of all of the syndicated horror anthology shows that came out in the mid to late 1980's - IMHO much better than Tales From the Darkside, Freddy's Nightmares, Friday the 13th and even Tales From the Crypt. Perhaps not as big budgeted as some of those, but usually surprisingly well-written. I can recall seeing several really great episodes that were as good as any horror anthology stories I'd ever seen, and usually done with a wicked/good sense of humor. Does anyone remember the episode with Darren McGavin playing an alien (in disguise) who ran a small art gallery where the exhibits were all kidnapped humans that he was taking back to his planet? Or Soupy Sales as the proverbial traveling salesman who has an unpleasant encounter (to say the least) with a farmer's beautiful daughter (who turns out to be less beautiful than he thinks)? Great stuff...
Like most anthology series, not all of the episodes were home runs, but most were either creepy or funny (or both) and almost always entertaining. I think it ran for three complete seasons in syndication, and I would buy all of them if it ever came out on DVD.
