Scene It? DVD game by Mattel How many versions and Sequel packs are there?

Just wondering how many Scene It? editions and sequel packs they have made. The Original, Turner Classics, Disney, 007, Tv version, and many Jr. games.

I want to get the Turner version, and a sequel pack....just wondering how many sequels have been done.

Since we are opening this up for discussion. What are your thoughts on the game, and how many versions have you bought.

I just got the game last week (The Deluxe edition). I really enjoy it. I've even managed to get some of my friends to play against me. They are usually a little apprehensious to play me when it comes to movie trivia. Some of the questions are "You Don't Know Jack"-esque and don't necessarily require a person to a movie buff, which makes it more enjoyable for them. I have only put in the main DVD, I haven't checked out the "bonus" DVD yet, I would imagine it's the same types of questions.

So far, I've played they way it describes in the instructions that you get to move even if you don't get the quesion right. That also makes it a little more competitive for the movie trivia challenged

I do have a question/comment. Do you play where you only get one guess, or do you play where you can yell out as many answers as you can think of? I play that everyone gets one guess, but the rules don't cover that aspect of it.

That is a good question. I can tell you that it does not look anything like the one pictured. It is an orange DVD that simply says "bonus disc" on it.

Ok, I just looked at the description of the sequel pack on sceneit.com, and this is what it lists:

Just when you thought Scene It? Deluxe couldn't get any better, we added Scene It? Deluxe Sequel Pack. Sequel Pack brings trivia to life with fresh scenes and images from Hollywood's biggest movies. Enjoy all your favorite visual puzzlers from the first game plus new categories "Credit Roll®" and "Zoom Out™".
It looks as if it is a separate add-on. It sounds interesting, I'll have to pick that up sometime.

As an FYI, our local Target has put the SNL Scene-It on clearance for $9.99. Check out your local store.

Nobody will play me in this game anymore! The only time i got a chance to play, i had won the game before anyone else made it halfway around the board. I should find some marks and start hustling in rounds of scene-it to make a little extra dough.

The problem I have with these games are they are so damn easy. It's no fun if there is no challenge. I would assume that would apply to most people on these message boards.

Sorry about the SNL/Scene-it mix-up. I stand corrected.

Off-topic, but just felt like bragging a little...

My son-in-law did some of the sculptures that was used to make the game pieces in the "Scene It" games. If we happen to see one of the games, he'll point out the ones he did. It seemed like he would do 2 out of the 4 pieces. He's done other "high profile" stuff but I wanted to stay "on topic" as much as possible.

Anyway... continue with the discussion...

From the website:

Scene It? Deluxe Movie Edition Includes:
Original game DVD plus 1 bonus game DVD...
It doesn't look like there is any way to just get the bonus DVD if you already had the original edition. You can buy the 2-disc replacement for $19.99, but still...
