Goodfellas,dvd
I bought the dvd movie Goodfellas, and through the whole movie the closed captain was turned on and I could not find anyway in the menu to turn it off.
it was pretty annoying watching all the text on the screen. anybody got any input to this?

If it's actually the closed captioning and not subtitles, the problem is with your TV set, not the DVD. You don't turn closed captioning on with your DVD player; you use the decoder built into your TV set.
Closed captions look like primitive computer-generated text inside a black bar. Subtitles look much more natural, like they're part of the movie.
Which is it?
