If you can get to the video store or whatever -fast, you should see MLF very soon. It's a great, great film. Much better than that In America tripe Sheridan gave us.
And I think you got your dates mixed up. Cruise was robbed at the Oscars ten years after he got his nod for BONFOJ.

But I agree about My Left Foot and Daniel Day-Lewis's performance, he didn't "steal" anything from Cruise, he absolutely deserved the award.

Hopefully it should be. The Paul Newman/Joanne Woodward movie "Mr. and Mrs. Bridge" is Miramax that was released by HBO in a snapper. Now you can get it in a keep-case by Miramax. So it looks like they're getting all their old titles back.

No circle that includes me. I thought the film was boring and long (although I don't even think it was over 2 hours). Sheridan has done better. I was excited to see a film loosely based on Sheridan's life, but I was disappointed. Morton only had one good scene and the screenplay didn't deserve the acclaim. Too many long drawn out scenes (with the only good scene being the family at the fair).But hey - that's just my opinion, man.

Artwork is like the cool SEs that Miramax released recently with English Patient and Rounders, but it's pretty skimpy on extras. Would have liked a more definitive anniversary release, but well worth a watch.
