Harry and the Hendersons.....will it come out on dvd?
I know its not the best movie ever made, but I think that my daughter would enjoy it. Does anyone have any info. on a possible release for this one?

I have been waiting forever for Harry too. I love that movie. It should get a nice SE if possible. I dont know why they are holding onto it and not releasing it already. You know alot of people would buy it.
Howard the Duck is another one they know would sell and yet they hold onto it... come on, put em out already. If we can get SW, why not Howard and Harry?!

I've also been waiting on Harry and Howard among other 80s movies such as:
Gleaming the Cube (OOP, needs a re-release)

I read an article somewhere about "Titles most wanted on dvd" and Harry was on the list. Legal/rights issues have so far kept it from being released. Another on the list was Twilight Zone: The Movie which, according to the article, has several legal issues and may never be released. I think it was the Barrie Maxwell column on The Digital Bits site.

Studios do this all of the time with movies that were big in their day and then somewhat forgotten. If people see the DVD on the shelf they will remember it and it will sell.

I would buy Harry and the Henderson on DVD, but the one DVD among all other DVDs (now that Freaked is coming in June) that I cannot believe has not been released is Robin Hood: Men in Tights. Honestly, that is a very popular movie. I mean Dracula: Dead and Loving it is out but not Robin Hood.

Best thread ever. I've been waiting for years to see both Harry and the Hendersons and Howard the Duck released to DVD. Bah, now I feel all nostalgic. I'm going to look for these titles on *le gasp* VHS if they don't get a DVD release soon. I can live without quality, I just want to revisit some favorites from my youth.

I would most likely pick this up as well as other titles mentioned. Among my most wanted not on DVD yet list are Robin Hood, Men in Tights; Howard the Duck, Rad and The Wizard. Luckily one of my top priorities is currently coming off the list: License to Drive.
