Defective Friday the 13th Ultimate DVD Collection

Hello,

I have a problem with the 'Friday the 13th Ultimate DVD Collection' - the fourth DVD with Part VII and VIII is defective. In the menu I can't start 'Part VIII'. I click on it and everything freezes. I tried several different DVD-players and two DVD-Roms on a PC - didn't work on any of these. Does anyone else has the same problem? I tried the search option in this forum but no results.
Does anyone know how Paramount handles exchanges? I couldn't find anything about a return policy on their website - not even an e-mail address.

i dont know about that, I have it but havent watched it. Can you select it as s title and play it? Try that if you know how to do it.

I tried my disc and it works fine. Have you tried cleaning the disc and/or looking for scratches? Has it been awhile since you've purchased the set, could you possible bring it back to the store from where you got it?

Friend had a similar problem where his disc froze on my Marantz DV18mkII DVD player but worked on his Sony DVD player, Part VII played O.K but it would freeze and would shut off my DVD player when I tried to select Part VIII.

I got it to work by moving the curser around before selecting Part VIII, I think I used the up key on the first screen then I used the left key and then hit play.

My Box set worked fine but I did purchase it later on, but I did read on "The Friday The 13th forum" that another person had a similar problem.

Take it back to the store and if you find the young female sales assistant having sex, be sure to slice her across the chest with your big machete.
