The O.C. Season 2 -Specs/Special Featurres/Box Art!
There's trouble (and plenty of fun) in paradise in this 24-episode, 7-disc Season 2 collection of the smash-hit series set in Orange County's posh Newport Beach. Hook up with what's coming down as the Core Four romances of Ryan-and-Marissa and Seth-and-Summer may (or may not) go from very over to very on, Sandy and Kirsten face choices that could trainwreck their 20-year marriage, felon (and Ryan?s brother) Trey gives Newport living a try, Julie's lurid past comes back to haunt her, and other new hunks and hotties become part of the coastal scene. Live. Laugh. Lie. Cheat. Grow. Share. Connive. Love. In California's beach paradise, they do everything under the sun.
Warner Bros has announced that The O.C. Season 2 will be released on 8/23, just in time for the premiere of season 3 in the fall. This 7 disc set will contain all 24 episodes from the second season, and a disc full of bonus material. Warner Bros went back to the producers of the show and asked which aspect ratio they preferred for season 2. The result is an Anamorphic Widescreen (1.78:1) transfer for the second season. There will be an English, Dolby Surround audio track, along with English, French and Spanish subtitles. SRP will be $69.98 US, though retailers will mark it down in store, and online.
Here's a list of the bonus material:
* Too Hot for TV: The Wet and Wild Kisses -- see the eight takes of the kissing scene between Alex and Mischa that the network wouldn't let you!
* Beachy Couture: How O.C. Fashion Is Made
* The O.C.: Obsessed Completely Retrospective TV Special
* Gag and Goofs from Seasons 1 and 2
* Extended cut of "The Rainy Day Women"
* Commentary on "The Chrismukkah That Almost Wasn't" and "The Rainy Day Women" by Cast and Crew
Warner Home Video has kindly made available, on a limited basis, the box art for The O.C. - The Complete 2nd Season. It's a nice-looking package for a hot show, and you can enjoy it below (of course that are is subject to change anytime prior to the release). Other than the fact that it will be a 7-DVD set, Warner has not announced any details about the release yet; we're still waiting for specs, extras, cost, and street date. Stay tuned, though, and we'll bring it to you once the formal announcement is made!

I like when they use such different colors for the seasons.
This will look nice next to the bright orange of the first one.
Ummmmm....thats all I have to contribute.
YEAH OC! Word... life

I too am surprised Jimmy is onthe cover. He was only in the first 5-6 episodes. However, with no other new stars added to the credits (besides Caleb), it makes sense. I love the blue color, and love the box. I REALLY hope the boxset included the two OC special, Life in the OC, and OC Obsession.

I love this cover art!
I was so/so on the Season One Cover art, but I really like this box with the blue, it would actually make me think of picking up the show If I had never watched it. Personally, I like the fact that they kept Jimmy Cooper on the Cover (he was in atleast 7 episodes), the only thing is that I think that the "New Kids" should atleast of a picture of the back.

So "OC Season 2" and "Life as we Know It" come out on the same day, thats really ironic, lol. So we two commentaries this year, hopefully that means we'll get three next year!
