No official date yet, but this is what dvdanswers is reporting. It's barebones except for deleted scenes and its trailer. Looks like WB is following Fox's route.
Title: Constantine
Starring: Keanu Reaves
Released: June/July 2005 (TBC)
SRP: $27.95 Each
Further Details
Warner has kindly sent over the official artwork for horror flick Constantine which stars Keanu Reaves and Rachel Weisz. The film will be available to own in seperate anamorphic widescreen and full screen releases from June or July. The final street date has yet to be confirmed, but we'll bring you the exact date shortly. Both wide and full screen discs will include an English Dolby Digital 5.1 track along with eighteen minutes of deleted scenes (including an alternate ending), the films theatrical trailer, and some exclusive DVD-ROM content. We've attached our first look at the official region one package artwork below:

I think the barebones editions art is hideous personally. I'm not too keen on the special edition art either.

I'll wait a few more weeks, and if the CE isn't announced for the US then i'll just get the R3 version.
EDIT: nevermind, I went ahead and ordered the R3 anyways. As mentioned above- 14.95 is too good to pass up.

Well, folks...
Didn't you just see this coming (from DVDAnswers):
Well, that cover absolutely sucks. Here's hoping that it'll be in a 2-disc keepcase and I can get some custom cover art for it.

Well, I guess i'll keep my pre-order with cd-wow. I still seriously doubt that you'll be able to find the 2-disc version for $14.95 in the US.
Plus the R3 version comes out a month earlier.

I'm slightly disappointed that we aren't getting an extended cut option, but at least we get the deleted scenes the director's talked about. And I like the cover posted above. I think it's very striking and artistic. The vertical and horizontal symmetry of it is not only aesthetically pleasing, but it fits well with the themes of Zoroastrian duality presented in the film. Plus the vertical line separating the black and the white combined with the title form a sort of subliminal cross.
Okay, so they probably didn't intend any of that, but I still maintain that it's worlds better than a floating heads montage.

I don't like the cover art for the 2-discer at all, but I'll be buying it to support movies based on Vertigo Comics properties. (Too bad they didn't have Tim Bradstreet design a really bitching cover for it.)

Hello,
I read the dvdanswers and want to make sure I'm not missing anything. I like watching the film and want the best sound recording. I don't think I'd miss anything by getting the basic edition but want to make sure. Did anyone see anything e.g. DTS, alternate endings, deleted scenes not included in the basic that are covered in the deluxe edition? It looks like they both have the stuff I care about but don't want to double dip.
I never watch the commentaries so I'm not concerned about missing that stuff I just want to watch the movie at the best quality - audio/video.
THanks
