does anyone know if his show will come in season sets? i'd totally buy them all.

This is one of the few shows on TV worth watching.

I agree. I would happily buy season sets.

I doubt it will happen or any price drop for that matter on the ones already out. They sell fairly well and are pretty popular on ebay (when up for auction). His cookbooks have just as much information as his shows. His shows are entertaining, though.....although, I am getting a little tired of him after all these years.

I'd be very surprised if they will eventually release them that way. They seem to be having too much fun doing it by the groupings/collections they've created. Regarding the price they are usually expensive but if you wait you can usually get a little bit of a better deal on them... for instance right now they have a deal for all 27 that have been released so far for $300. Considering when they first come out they are usually $150/set (or $450 total) that's not bad.

after 9 seasons, it appears his popularity still continues to grow. he's now got the 7 pm time slot and i think the 10-11 weds slot. and he's got the iron chef america gig now.

possibly becoming a bit over exposed. but it's a vastly different show and closest to what i think the food network needs most: a show about learning how to cook.

regardless, the episodes are way over priced. episodes for the simpsons run, what, 3 bucks each? these go for more than 10.

W/ the deal mentioned above they come out to roughly $3.7... each as well. 27 DVDs w/ 3 eps ea for $300, this doesn't include the fact each eps has 10-20 mins of "ask Alton" associated w/ it as well. Now if you mean $3/DVD then yes these run in the $10 range While I agree they are a bit over priced for you get, I still suspect it's going to be the only legit way to get them.

Eh, with how often they show Good Eats, I can pretty much watch Alton whenever I want. Don't know if I would ever buy DVD's for it. Still, it's a great show. One of the few shows that's not just about cooking, it's about food, and the science behind food. I still Tivo the new eps.

Totally agree. I bought all 27 for $360 minus a $15 coupon in February. I emailed and politely asked if they would credit me back the $45 difference but they said no go.

My wife and I really enjoy the convenience of having the shows on dvd. Also the Q&A's after each episode are VERY HELPFUL! 27 dvds is a big load though- they take up a bunch of room on the dvd shelf...

I used to love Sundays because Food Network ran Cooks' Tour at 6pm and Good eats at 6:30, best hour of TV on in a while.

I know whatcha mean. She's the darling of Food Network right now so she's everywhere. I hope I never tire of her, though.

But, next to Rachael, Alton's shows comes in a close second for watchability. I learn a lot of great info. Hell, he even makes food shopping fun.
