Zero Day good for a Blind Buy?

Do ANY major stores carry Zero Day?!

I liked Elephant, which was about the same subject matter, but it was very ambiguous. I heard that Zero Day was very good, but the fact that Best Buy and Amazon are charging up the ass for it (25.00) (I can get it for 20 at Target) makes me unsure if it would be a good blind buy. Any suggestions?

EDIT: See last post.

This was a very well done take on a Columbine-type situation. You get soup to nuts in this film. While I enjoyed Elephant, this was a much more realistic vision of the subject matter.

That is kind of a steep MSRP, but the film itself is excellent.
If you liked Elephant, then this one should be in your dramatic wheelhouse. It's more focused, less ambiguous.

Zero Day seemed to really strike a nerve with me, and delivers a really compelling story without being too gratutious with regard to violence. It's difficult to make a film that is supposed to sound unscripted and natural actually sound that way, but this one does, and that is key to buying into the whole concept.

Here's my full review, if you're bored....

I had previously read your review through DVD-Basen and thought it was very well done. I called my local Best Buy, Walmart, Target, FYE and Circuit City and apparently, none of them carry this, which pisses me off.

My buddy plays the father in this flick and his son plays one of the leads, so I'm a little biased. I would still highly recommend this bad boy.

Yeah, from what I saw, the actors used their real names. They did the same thing in Elephant.

Pssst... could your "connection" get me a free copy of this almost-impossible-to-find movie.

That's cool that you know them, though.
