Is it me, or is this a strange movie to make a second version on for DVD.

I don't remember it being that much of a hit at the theater. It was an alright movie. I guess if a second version of Gothika can be made...

I actually use the original as a demo for 5.1. From the point where he cranks up the last car to steal to the end of that chase. Very nice! My nephew and his 17 year old friends love this movie though, so maybe the rerelease is for the whole Fast and Furious crowd.

Yeah, not a real fan of the chopped cover look. Curious as to how the new version of the movie plays though.

I'd rather have a thread per movie, rather than a mishmash of multiple discussions...thanks for the info though.

Ya per movie thread rules, forget that multiple crap, I can't find hit in those threads.

I guess I am somewhat in the minority here, I really enjoyed this movie, I like a lot of the characters too, yet cliched, were entertaining, I will dd on this one no problem.

I really enjoy the first movie but with the same extra it better be one heck of a DC for me to pick this one up. Gonna wait this one out till I hear more news.

I just want to know what the Disney DVD logo is doing on this cover. Are they doing that for all Touchstone Films now, or what?

Not sure. At least you could use it for Disney promotions (such as B3G1 Free), or a Disney coupon (BB's Disney CD-ROM giftcard coupon).

I took a look at that thread and there really isn't much in there about Gone in 60 Seconds.

Agreed. No offense, but I could care less about Father of the Bride.

I went to see this movie in the theater and got the DVD for one reason: Eleanor. I was disappointed that there was so little about the GT-500 in the extra features of the original disc. Now they re-release this movie and they blow their opportunity again?!?

Carroll Shelby is still alive. It would have been great to have an interview with him about the car. How about an in depth look into the design and modifications that were done to Eleanor? Ford and Shelby just recently unveiled their new GT-500, I'm sure they would have loved to contribute some material. Sad.

The coverart looks terrible. They should of just used the original and put a special edition banner on the top.
