I haven't seen the series yet either, but from watching the Highlander Season 6 set recently, which consisted of only 13 episodes, several were dedicated to testing the waters for the spin-off. One episode involved Claudia Christian (Babylon 5) playing an Immortal and she had a mortal cop friend who as her "partner in crime". In Highlander Raven, apparently the Elizabeth Gracen character has a mortal cop friend who is her "partner in crime" as well.

That is correct. He sees the light show and keeps her secret. They aren't exactly partners as he is a cop and she has been a cat burglar for hundreds of years. But they work together a bit.

I've only seen a handful of Raven episodes, but my impression was it wasn't as good. I'll still get this to complete my collection, though.

Got my shipment email from DDD today almost a full week before release. Which is crazy as I haven't gotten shipment notice of my 6/7 order from Amazon. Must be the inclusion of the 5/31 release of Saints and Soldiers screwing with their heads.

Got my [Anchor Bay] set on Saturday. Haven't watched any of it yet, but the box style has a similar lay-out to the other Highlander sets, except the background isn't one of those mono-chrome shiny colors, although the cover-art does exhibit the same metallic look.

They are the same, just like the "regular" Highlander series.

The Raven set may be the same, but the Legendary Heroes' Highlander sets are different than the Anchor Bay sets. The discs may be the same, but the box designs are different. Unlike Anchor Bay, the LH sets are not using the "stacked" digipaks that Anchor Bay started using with Season 5 of Highlander. At least that what it looks like from the pictures of the LH full series box set. The colors for each season are different as well.

How many discs, Mike? I'm really only concerned about the content, although I would try to avoid those stacked cases. I hate those.

Looks like it says 9 disc set to me. Also looks like those stupid stacked digipaks.
