Only if all of the extras are included.

Lot of people still hanging on to their Laserdiscs (and some are still costly), because they have better extras than their DVD counterparts.

I've purchased a few for doubles for the different covers, different packaging, and for profit. My laserdisc collection has a ton of doubles including ten copies of Sleepy Hollow and Bringing out the Dead.

I avoid this, but I got suckered into the E.T. hype at the end of 2002. I'm sure some folks might remember the newsflash on the DVDTalk homepage saying that stores were sending extra stock back to Universal and that you needed to grab it at that very second, lest you lose your chance forever. According to Amazon.com, it looks like I might be able to sell it for what I paid.

I have bought a second copy of a DVD twice, though I'm still not sure why. Probably has something to due with that crazy voice in my head that tells me to spend all my money on DVDs. The first was because I saw Mallrats for a couple bucks in a pawn shop so I bought it with plans on selling and making a couple more bucks (never got around to that for some reason though) The second time was tonight when I saw The Re-Animator Millenium Edition new for an amazing price. I'll probably sell for a couple dollars more.

Yes, one for the kids to watch and one to keep in good condition. I have only done this a couple of times.

Not unless I have a"senior moment". It's already hard enough finding shelf space.
