I would say it's likely at some point in the future...but probably on the HD-DVD format. I don't think there are any current plans for new DVD versions.

Josey Wales already had a re-release, current version has a new transfer from the first DVD release and a documentary. A two-disc SE would certainly be welcomed, but the current DVD from the Eastwood collection has a pretty solid transfer.

No freaking clue about High Plains Drifter. I'm pretty pissed about the current DVD being re-issued (a year or so back, maybe two) with the same shitty non-anamorphic transfer. Might be my most wanted title, along with The Wild Bunch, but I'm not buying it in it's current state.

Hang Em' High... Well, it's anamorphic at least, but it still looks pretty bad. A nice new transfer from a better print would be nice.

Joe Kidd, dunno.

Of the 4 titles, I'd guess that High Plains Drifter might be the most likely to receive another release since the current DVD stinks. Fingers crossed.

And while we're at it, Pale Rider could probably use some attention as well, but at least the current DVD has a decent transfer.

Probably the next move for the Universal Eastwood westerns will be to put them in a Franchise Collection with the same transfers. Would love to see a SE of High plains Drifter, though but I dont think that will ever happen.

I agree. I'd love to see a Pale Rider SE of some sort. That was one of my favorite westerns from the '80s.

Expect 2 more Clint Eastwood / Sergio Leone Spaghetti Western Special Edition collections coming in April from MGM (region 2 imports first, then U.S. versions to follow) for A FISTFULL OF DOLLARS and FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE. Packaging will look like the re-issue of THE GOOD, THE BAD & THE UGLY 2 disc. Can't wait!

You sure about that? The R2 packaging looks like digipaks, IIRC, not that odd box thing that GB&U came in. Either would be fine by me... But yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to Fistful and A Few More.

I know, even though I don't really care for the TGTBTU packaging, I'd like for the R1 versions of Fistful of Dollars, FAFDM, and Fistful of Dymomite to match the TGTBTU.

The only SE that are out are Unforgiven and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. A Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More should be getting SEs.

As for Outlaw Josie Wales, Pale Rider, High Plains Drifter, Joe Kidd, Two Mules for Sister Sarah and Hang 'em High, haven't heard anything about these.
