I read a review that stated the newer special edition of Hoosiers had a better video transfer, plus all the extra materials make it far from being the same disc.

I received my copy of the new Hoosiers disc last week from CH and it arrived without a scratch. Usually as long as the discs are secure in the case I never had a problem with scratching.

i picked up my copy at bb; it took me a few seconds to get a nice copy without corner dents. i take it home, open it and sure enough, the movie disc had scuffs.

Just watched it last night. The transfer quality is dramatically better than the original release - DRAMATICALLY! Combine this with the quality extras and this is a phenomenal package. As a fan of the film, I couldn't be happier.
