Is there any CC or subtitles on the Twilight Zone Set(1985)?

This was one of my all time favorite series in the 80's. However can anyone who has it confirm that it has CC or subtitles. That alone is basically one of my deciding factor in my purchase sinces i have hard of hearing siblings.
(Fingers crossed)

So there is no subtitles but it has closed captioned. Dvd Freaker, do you own this or did you find out from a site?
I know amazon listed it as CC, but when i saw the set in the store, there was no CC symbol on the box. I know amazon isn't always correct with infomation, so that made me cautious.

Re: Is there any CC or subtitles on the Twilight Zone Set(1985)?

This is old but I just checked out the Season 1 set from our library. I had to get a new DVD player today because my old Sony had a bad tray. I had just finished the Season 2 set and the CC worked on the old Sony. I put in a disc from Season 1 and the new player and no luck with CC so far. I was afraid maybe it was the player but I put in one of my Wild, Wild West DVDs and that CC worked fine. I am going to try a couple of other things but think it probably doesn't have Season 1 CC'd unfortunately.

CCs are complicated with today's equipment. They only work with analog video connections at 480i. Newer Blu-Ray players don't have analog outputs, but they do have internal caption decoders which are very helpful, although they display kind of funny. The Oppo 203 has most of them on the left side of the screen when they normally should be centered.

It looks like the newer Paramount/CBS DVDs are using subtitles instead of closed captions. I have the complete Tales From the Darkside set and the first seasons are captioned, but the last season is not and uses subtitles instead.
