T2: Ultimate Edition--Question? (about the case)

I found a used copy of this today. Had a metal case. Was wondering what the back looked like because mine has a gap between sides, I had to somewhat bend those sides together to keep the DVD in place.

yeah the metal one doesn't hold as well as the paper one, but the metal one kicks so much ass, just don't cut yourself. almost lost a finger.
now, about that extreme dvd metal case...

Seems like everytime they put out a metal case with this movie, there's always a problem. Either it's the EE and the case is too tight (causing shredding) or it's too loose with the UE and the plastic case falls out.

I still love 'em though...

Get it. It has some nice features that weren't carried over to the EE.

It's not really two versions, it's just two different slipcovers. Me, I just wanted the ultimate features so I picked up a copy with a paper slipcover. Metal would've been nice but I never found one.

The metal case had a sheet of paper against the back of the case that had all the same stuff on it as the back of the inner case.

Now, if only I could trade my 1-disk version for a 2-disk one.

The EE has to have the worst packaging design ever. The metal part on mine ripped the plastic case all to hell the first time I opened it. I ended up just ripping the plastic film right off the case and putting the insert inside.

You could've got a replacement case from Artisan. Do a search.

I don't know why they just didn't use cardboard instead of metal from the beginning -- would have saved them time and money. I ended up having to get a new keep case from them because mine was shredded to sh*t.

I ended up throwing away the damn metal piece of sh*t anyway. lol

I think there are 3 versions of UE.

Metal case 1 disc

Metal case 2 disc

cardboard case 2 disc

I have #1 and also got EE from DDD when they had 20% off.

I have the metal case 2 disk version (most desireable IMO) and never had any problems with the case.

I'd be happy to part with it though, since I have the EE as well. Anybody Paypal?

There are people who say that there was a 1-disc (flipper) cardboard as well, though I myself can not confirm or deny this.
