First DVD watched on your new equipment
I know there have been multiple threads on the first dvd you ever watched but what about the first dvd you watched after upgrading a part of your home theatre.
I'm getting my Sony 50" LCD WEGA TV delivered today at 3. After setting everything up and setting the options the way I like them I plan to watch fight club.
What was the last thing you upgraded in your home theatre and what was the first thing you watched after the upgrade?

The new Top Gun dvd was the first one i watched when i recently upgraded to 6.1 surround sound.
When i upgrade to a 16x9 tv in a few months i think the first thing i will watch will probably be Episodes I and II to get ready for III coming out.

I like to use one of the LOTR titles or Top Gun...
however, the first DVD I used to check out my most recent DVD player was Iron Giant, since animated titles can more easily show problems with interlaced/non-interlaced/quality.

It was either "The Matrix" or a boot "Star Wars: A New Hope" with DTS.

I just got my 62" Mitisubishi tv and the first thing I watched was Lord of the Rings Retutn of the King and it was pretty awesome. Bought all the speakers last year at tax time so I was set. Don't remember first movie listened to.

I'm not sure what movie I watched after I got my stereo, that was 4-5 years ago. I got a 62" Mitsubishi in November. The first DVD I watched was Hellboy: Director's Cut.

Looks like my first film will be changed to Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas in memorial of the good doctor.

When I got my 230-W DD 5.1 surround system in early '02, I think the first DVD I tried with it was Star Wars: Episode I.
Sometime in this year, I'd like to upgrade my DD 5.1 system to a DTS 6.1 system. There's a 700-W Yamaha system that I've been eyeing for a few months for around $400 or so.

I remember watching "Plains, Trains, and Automobiles" as the first movie ever on my home theater. Yes, it didn't take "advantage" of the sound and digital picture, but it is one of my favorites. (Especially during Thanksgiving when I purchased the TV).
