Just to add another boxing noir, The Harder they Fall with Bogart is pretty good.

Huge Recomendation for Ken Burns Documentry, Unforgivable Blackness: The Rise and Fall of Jack Johnson, is an excellent documentry that has some very rare footage of early boxing matches.

And The Great White Hype with Samuel Jackson, is just imo a funny funny movie.

one that should be added is Tokyo Olympiad: CC while it doesn't focus completely on boxing, it is a great documentary

the boxing sequences were part of the inspiration for Raging Bull. raging bull is another great boxing movie not mentions.

I can't believe there has been little mention of the Rocky series.
