Part of the reason why this is going DTV may be because of the Weinstein split from Disney.

That's one ugly-assed cover. Looks like the photoshop guy rushed it out before his cofffee break.

I liked the old cover better when it was just called "Wicked Prayer."

I'll give it a rental...maybe. The story sounds interesting. I can't stand Reid. Furlong's a little annoying. But I like Boreanaz, Chriqui, and Hopper. It'll be best to view this as a single film, not as a sequel to the fantastic original. To me, that's still the only Crow film.

As for the series, I liked it alot. It was way different from the movie, but it really started to find it's groove. I've always been puzzled why Dacascos never became a huge star. He's pretty good actor, he has the action skills, and he's a good looking guy who can attract the ladies, but tough and "cool" enough to draw the male fans as well.

But I like Boreanaz, Chriqui, and Hopper.

David Boreanaz is the only reason I'm interested in this film. (What can I say? he's got a life-long fan in me!)

The first film was ( as everyone says- because it's true) great, didn't like the second, never had a chance to see the third, but enjoyed a bit of the TV series.

Hey Jason. I second your hope, of course. Welcome to DVD Talk.

IGN trashed it as well. I think I'm going to rent it to see just how bad it really is.

Gee you think this guy came into this movie with any preconceived notions that he thought it was going to suck from minute one??

"Two really terrible sequels would soon follow, as would a TV series that I've never seen and must therefore also be terrible." ... I haven't seen it so it must be terrible?? Great review there Scott! I hope DVD Talk doesn't actually PAY you for that insight!

I haven't seen the movie yet, but this guy makes this movie out to be the next ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES. I doubt that very much. I'll check this out and decide for myself before I ever let a reviewer like this influence my viewing habits.

i saw this movie the other week too. this movie sux. i love the first crow movie. the second was ok. i never saw the third but this one sux. the storyline is so stupid and dennis hopper scene in this movie is so bad. his 10 min wannabe homie/gangster acting in this movie was so bad. stay away from this movie. don't even rent it if u don't want to waste your time.

Yep. I'm afraid this far along in the series it will be hard to find an unbiased review. Those that hated them from the beginning are going to hate it regardless, and those that love the series are going to be less critical. I've read nothing but positive things on it on different crow sites I've visited. I remain open minded and hopeful. Salvation was a low point, I doubt this could be worse than that turd.

Interesting....actually, many Crow fans find that Salvation was pretty good, perhaps even a little better than City of Angels.

I went to San Diego Comicon this weekend and Sunday, Edward Furlong (Crow), Lance Mungia (Director of WP) and others were there signing Wicked Prayer posters and talking about the movie. They were only supposed to sign for an hour but stayed until every last person got their stuff signed and also you could get pictures with them. They were there a good 3 hours+. Nice group of people! I am looking forward to this one.

By the way, I was not a fan of Salvation either, but I kind of liked City of Angels actually. I hope this one turns out pretty good.
