At least we have Zapped Again available on DVD. Easily one of Lyle Alzado's finest onscreen performances.

I can confirm this!

MGM is releasing this through Fox as a flipper disc: full frame and widescreen...along with Peter's Friends, and Some Girls. $14.98 with a stereo soundtrack..

Best release news for 2008! Sure gives you hope when those few titles left on a release list get announced. Can't wait for this one. I am also in for Some Girls.

Thank you for this. Been waiting for this since I started buying DVDs. Best version of The Way You Look Tonight I've ever heard. And a great movie too.

Amazon has the cover art up. I've never seen this art used before...I thought for sure we would see some giant floating heads for the cover. This is pretty cool.

I'd like to hear a commentary with Baio and Aames, but I'm just happy it's finally being released at all.

Found this a little early at my local Best Buy. Price was 9.99.

Anyhoo, one PROBLEM I noticed. The scene where Aames takes Heather Thomas back to his place after Magic Land. Towards the end of this scene, when Heather and Aames are on the couch about to get it on, is supposed to be completely dark. I remember it from my old VHS. But on this DVD you can clearly see both of them and this results in a pretty bad lip synching issue with the dialog during this scene.

Just thought I'd give ya a warning.

any particular reason why they couldn't have used the ORIGINAL cover art?

So I put this in on my Toshiba HD DVD player and played the same scene and the results were better. I think I calibrated my settings better on this machine because the scene was much darker and I couldn't notice the lip synching issue. The first player I tried it on was my PS3, so I guess my settings suck on that.

I guess it is a problem if your tv is set to bright, but if calibrated right you wont notice the problem.

Wow, Willie Aames was in a movie that featured nudity? Definitely happened before his "Bibleman" days!

does the Scatman Crothers hallucination scene hold up after all these years? I remember that being the highlight of the movie, plus that weird looking baseball player.

Is this the original cover?
Spoiler:

Controversy also erupted during the promotion of the film when readers of the Los Angeles Times complained about the movie poster advertisement, not because of what the readers could see but because it was suggested that the illustrated Scott Baio and Willie Aames could see up the skirt of the illustrated girl character. The poster artist re-drew the advertisement to block the suggested view.
