What's going on with Liquid Sky?

I saw Liquid Sky, the movie about UFOs and punk rock, directed by Tsukerman, when it was released. I remember bits of it fondly, but remember being unimpressed overall.

Yesterday, I thought I'd look for the most expensive DVD on ebay, and it was Liquid Sky. Why is it so expensive?

I guess the DVD company that put out Liquid Sky didn't release anything but liquid sky and there aren't many copies of it (I think less than 1,000, but I could be wrong).

Glad I got myself one.

It's a truly strange (STRANGE! strange, strange.... STRANGE strange) and TACKY (Taaakee tacky tacky... TACK-eee) film! Anyone know what I mean? It's so bizarre it's good like Wood (Ed Wood, that is!). I have an old worn-out VHS and the LP soundtrack release. I am upset to hear that it's only availble from eBay and at enormous pricing as I will not be able to get it now.

My acting teacher in film school - Bob Brady - was in the movie (he played Owen). He mentioned it on the first day of class, so on a lark, we went to Kim's Video in the Village (NYC) to find out what the heck he was talking about.

After seeing it, we were VERY nervous about going to class the next week... lol! That movie was bee-zarre! But it turned out that he was a pretty cool guy, and he made acting class a lot easier for a bunch of first-year film students.

I'd love to see it again, just for the "What the hell was THAT?!" factor.

Got my shipping confirmation this morning from Vinegar Syndrome. Will probably have it this week sometime.

Re: What's going on with Liquid Sky?

I started this thread a long, long time ago. I bought a copy of the Wintertainment release about 2015 through Amazon Marketplace. I wanted to show the movie to Mrs Danger.
