is there a program for extracting episodes from a dvd

lord knows if this is in the right forum.

lets say i wanted to have my own personal television channel, built off of episodes i have from dvd.

is there anything that lets me extract individual segments from a dvd and put it on a hard drive?

i think it'd be neat to go between seasons of the simpsons or whatnot randomly without haing to switch dvd discs

What you are talking about is illegal. You won't get an answer here.

It is not illegal if he owns the DVD's. Between the forced watching of previews on a DVD or those warnings, it can be maddening switching back and forth.

The program he wants is dvd decrypter. Do a google search.

This link is from the Tech forum, though I would guess it applies to the whole of DVDTalk as well.
