X-Files season sets price question

I love the x-files and I know amazon has season 1 for $34.99, but other places have it for between $80-$100 and all the other seasons are expensive as heck. Anybody have any idea if or when the prices will come down on these or where I can get a good deal?

Since they just dropped the MSRP to $99 a few months ago, I don't see another price drop on the way.

In my experience, eBay is the only place to snag deals. And only if it's the "Buy-it-Now" option. If you have to bid, you'll never get a good deal as even the used sets go for $60+ each. Why I don't know. Used should be around $40-45. At any rate, I managed to get all 9 nine seasons for about $300. You basically have to live on eBay and wait for the deals to pop up, once they do they're gone within hours or sometimes minutes.

Yeah they just dropped and that is a pretty sweet deal compared to what they were. I snagged a couple sets on half.com for sub $40, still in the shrink wrap. You do have to watch for the asian boots though.

When buying on eBay, watch out for Asian editions which are not the same as the US version. Asian editions have Chinese characters on the front and Chinese subtitles.

I completed by collection during the 20% sale on DDD.

Wherehouse usually has a few seasons for $50 used.
