Alright guys, this is looking great. A box set version of the Batman Anthology with the terrific cover art. What's the catch? How do these Korean DVDs differ in packaging from American DVDs? And how reliable are these websites? Also, what is the difference in editing as far as the Korean and British versions go?
Thanks for the heads-up dfnyc
edit: checked out the single copies. looks like the title is written in korean underneath the actual titles. I take it the red and green circles are 12s and 15s. Anything else I should know?

Thanks digitalfreaknyc !
And umm...none taken. Since having an daughter, as in most people's cases, I have a much smaller budget to spend on DVD's, thus, I need to pick and choose my purchases. With so many DVD's that I want coming up in the next few months, I need to be alittle more choosier. I at least wanted to get Batman Returns (my favorite,) if the A/V are upgraded than yes, its a no brainer!

also a warning to those of you buying the region 2. Returns is cut 7 seconds for the scene where catwoman puts a spray can in a microwave.
there is also rumor of Forever being cut as well.

Review of the Batman SE here.
Not much on the picture and sound, but this sounds cool:
One of the best extras on this particular DVD is “THE COMPLETE ROBIN STORYBOARD SEQUENCE.” If you were not aware, Robin was going to be included in the film at one point. As filming progressed, the character was cut from the film. This segment shows the storyboard of the scene that would have included Robin. What’s great about it is that it is set to music, sound effects are added in, and Batman and The Joker are voiced by Kevin Conroy and Mark Hammil respectively.

I started a poll here: Batman Special Editions. Which region are you getting? because I was curious which way people were going on this.
Help me make up my mind!

For myself, I try and buy the best possible DVD at the best possible price. I won't sacrifice content for looks, but if it is the same and looks better, I may go that route (if the price is right).
Edit: I don't care about when I get DVD's. I have 100's that I haven't watched, so that is not important to me.

If the price is the same....but with shipping and the different region codes, as well as the possibility of PAL speed-up and cut scenes, all that for a cover that could easily be made or found for download just doesn't make much sense.
Not to mention the various rating logos and language differences plastered all over the covers...isn't that worse?

What does that mean?
The only time I was pissed off about a cover was when Jim Cameron's image was put on "Titanic"...but I'm cool with it because I not only made my own cover, but like the fact that all regions are stuck with the same image, not just R1.
I made covers based on the R2 Batman covers, but with the original title fonts. (Forever needs a little more work though, and never bothered with that last one... )

R1 for me. The covers may not be the most inspired creations--especially with that font--but the films are complete, and I will be perfectly pleased to have them.
My jaw dropped when I first saw the R2 covers, but as time has passed I've actually not cared so much for them. Had they been the original emblems, cool, but those modified versions really don't do much for me. So I'm just as happy with what R1 is getting.

well I'm glad they included the deleted " is it halloween yet " deleted scene but I'm disappointed as there was a few more deleted scenes that appear to be missing on this SE.
I'm picking it up anyways.

I don't know about U.S. prices, but I've found that in Canada, buying the box is cheaper than buying the first three (yes, I like 'Forever'). I was going to get the first three as well as 'Begins', but it works out to be a lot more money that way.
