A quick Star Wars trilogy question

I've been reading over the article 'Star Wars: The Changes - Part Two' at dvdanswer and I was astonished by the new 'wash-out' lightsaber looks, specially ROTJ. Does it really look that bad on TV screen or enough to distract you from viewing?

Thanks.

Nah, those single frame shots don't do them justice. At full motion they just look more close to the prequal trilogy lightsabers looks.

I watched the trilogy on DVD a while ago and I didn't notice this 'washed out' looks you mentioned.

The transfers are pretty good for movies this old, I'm looking forward to another release with more extra's though.
