DVDs from the Serial Squadron?

From what I understand, this is a fan-based group which restores old movie serials and puts them on DVD. Does anyone own any of their product and are they considered to be legitimate releases? If it is all PD material, are they the best at this or do other companies release the same serials only in superior condition?

I'm not sure if I understand the question -- they produce DVD-Rs of public domain serials (often ones that have not yet been released by others). It isn't 'illegal', if that's what you're asking...

I've purchased a few of them and they all tend to be very high quality. I'm sure it differs from serial to serial, but they are produced with care by people who are knowledgable about the subject matter. That's better than you'll find with most companies releasing these things to stores. Except maybe some of the higher quality outfits (Roan, VCI).

Anyway, I would order without hesitation if something interests you. The only thing that prevents me from getting all of the available ones is the price. I'm not disputing that a lot of time and effort goes into these... I just can't justify spending that much on a DVD-R more often than occasionally.

Wow, really? Well, I'd say that your English is pretty darn good then!

Yeah, the quality is really good on all the ones I've seen. Definitely worth picking up if there's something that interests you.
