Frankenhooker coming in an SE...
Frank Hennenlotter's (sp?) Frankenhooker is coming in a special edition along with his help from Unearthed Films. Street date is expected in September/October. I am not a huge fan of his films but remember liking this one from when I was a kid. I avoided the old Simitar release because it was Full Screen and I never could find out if it was filmed that way or not.

"I'm becoming dangerously amoral."
"Would you like a sandwich?"
I saw this at a sold out midnight show at the Coolidge Corner Theater in Boston when it came out. I'm looking forward to replacing my crappy VHS copy.

While this could mean he prefers fullscreen, it also seems like he would've framed 'Frankenhooker' with the knowledge of theatrical cropping.
Now I think I'll sell my 'Frankenhooker' disc...

See? This is par for the course. I just bought a goddamn import DVD from the UK. Figures they'd choose to release it here...

xploitedcinema has a signed/numbered release available: Frankenhooker. There are only 50 up for grabs.

Anyway, I even had my order for it cancelled by two other online retailers prior to trying to order it from Amazon. So it seems like Amazon is just about the only place (or one of very few places) selling it that actually has it in stock.

j/k... it would be cool for you if you nabbed it. I'm willing to bet that Tony keeps the #1's for himself... at least *I* would Let us know which number you got.
It's a fun movie and I know you'll like it. It's a great release (even though I'm not thrilled with the new cover art) with nice extras.

all I know is that the previous release was the cut R-rated version, this new version is the original unrated cut.

My favorite line is when he is talking about his descent into "sheer, utter madness" and his mother asks him if he wants a sandwich.
I will definitely be picking this up!

BTW, gotta say I'm slightly disappointed that this didn't come with an insert. Guess after receiving all the great additional material/signatures inside the "I Drink Your Blood" LE I've become just a little spoiled. But, overall I'm happy and can't wait to actually see it!
