Leon:The Professional Commentary track? What happened

I just read the new release of Leon doesn't have a commentary track.
What happened? Natalie Portman has said in a hand full of interviews that she did a commentary track. When she was on "Inside the Actors Studio" she said he went back to watched Leon for the first time in years. I guess that was for the DVD commentary.
Does anyone know what happened? Did it not pan out or just didnt work out? I cant see that its wasn't recorded being that she has stated it, in a few different interviews.

Perhaps she was referring to her commentary piece included in the extras.

Or even the semantics, for that matter.

BTW, I saw this DVD at Blockbuster today. They had a stack of them behind the counter, priced and ready for shelving. However, I already have this preordered somewhere else so I didn't bother with it.

Let's not quibble over semantics.

Is the previous SE version still worth keeping?

Most if not all of the extras from that disc, such as the isolated score and talent files, are not on the new disc.

Got mine at BBV today for $16.99. It was a misprice, the real price came up at $19.99.

But didn't the old disc have a glitchy 5.1 track?

The original pressing did, but it was corrected shortly after release.

Does anyone remember (or know where to find) how to tell the difference between the clitchy disc and the fixed disc?

It *is* the Superbit. It's a Superbit Deluxe release in non-Superbit packaging.

What I gathered was that the DE has a more enveloping DTS surrounds while the the superbit has a f**ked up DTS.

This is the funny thing about Superbits. If it doesn't say Superbit on the cover, no one gets excited about a release. If a SE 2 disc set with prestine sound and picture comes out, it might get some fanfare... but if an extraless disc with the same quality in sound and extras comes out as a Superbit, people are all over it Of course, if it didn't have the superbit title, then people would complain that it's barebones

i just won't pay for the same transfer again unless some of the extras are up my alley....i was excited to listen to a commentary track after all these years...now i just can't see myself shelling out the cash on a double dip

extras that always get me are deleted scenes and commentaries...anything else is just gravy and fluff.

So if that's there this means it's the non-glitchy version..?

If it's a new, sealed version, yes. Be careful of used discs. Pretty easy to "upgrade" by trading the old disc in the new case.
