Harold and Kumar: Different Region 1 Releases?

Sorry if this has been covered in another thread, and in which case, please close this one.

Anyways, for the last few days I've been looking for this "Unrated" version of H&K in Canada. Not being able to find a labeled "Unrated" version I just bit the bullet and bought whatever copy I could find. Now here comes the interesting bit.

From the coverart that I've seen, The US release has 2 versions. The first one has both H&K and a White Castle Slider in the middle(with the blond sitting on it). This I believe is the rated. The second release is the chick holding up the "Extreme Unrated" skateboard. This obviously is the unrated one.

The Canadian one on the other hand, is just like the second release, except that there is no "Extreme Unrated"; just "Extreme". On the back it it lists the "Unrated Film" as one of the "Extreme DVD Features".

Now surfing many Canadian sites, I could only find 1 copy/version of H&K. So does this means that us Canucks automatically get the Unrated version, but its not labeled as such.

Anyways, I just thought I'd let ppl know.

unrated run time is 90 minutes. I think the rated version is 2 minutes shorter.

Sorry to break your bubble, dryars, but there is more than one version in Canada too. The problem is that both versions isn't as apparent as the ones in the States. The Extreme version may be the unrated version but I'm not sure. All Canadian websites only carry the rated version so the Unrated may be harder to get up here.

Anyways, my friend and I took a trip to the States recently and grabbed the Extreme Unrated version to be on the safe side.

The run-time that shows listed is 1:30, so it should be the unrated
