High Anxiety 3/29...Finally

Acording to Davisdvd, High Anxiety is coming on 3/29 and priced at only 9.98 MSRP. Hopefully like Silver Streak, this is in anamorphic widescreen and can be found in the 5.50 bins.

Great news! It's my favorite Mel Brooks film - I was hoping for some extras, but at least it's finally being released.

Dang it!! How long do I have to wait before I get my History Of The World - Part 1 SE. All of these other MB releases just make me grumpy while I wait.

I am happy that seemingly every single Mel Brooks movie is making it to DVD, especially this one. But I still need to say this anyway: where's my frickin' Robin Hood: Men in Tights SE DVD????

It would be nice to see someone re-release The Twelve Chairs, along with long-awaited R1 DVD releases for both Silent Movie and Robin Hood: Men in Tights.

Does anyone have Pre-Orders for this anywhere yet?

I haven't been able to find any sites that are offering it yet...shouldn't they have it available by now if it in fact IS coming out next month?

Thanks you the "heads up," I think I like this film slightly better than Young Frankenstein.

I wouldn't worry too much. I think the same thing happened with "Silver Streak", but it still showed up as promised.

I was wondering when this and a bunch of other Brooks stuff would be released. This is most welcome news, at least I have something to add to my wish list. Hopefully more titles will follow.

From the Bits...

On to the DVD news. We've gotten word from 20th Century Fox that their Mel Brooks promotion has been delayed indefinitely. This means that High Anxiety will NOT street on 3/29 as originally expected. We'll post further details as soon as they're available

Shit.

Shit.

I have a feeling 'Braces' (Mel Brooks' Evil Double) was behind this delay.
