Kagemusha delayed til March...
...according to the Criterion website and Homevision have removed it from the January slate as well. I guess Criterion do have too much on their plate this year. Or maybe it is to tie in with Sword Of Doom. Really looking forward to these either way.

Just got shipping confirmation from Amazon on this one - must be tied in with Sword of Doom like STEVEIGNORANT said. One of my most eagerly anticipated releases in a long time.

My order is in... hopefully in time to get in on the early ships!
Oddly, when I tried to order "l'Eclisse" yesterday -- which is supposed to street next Tuesday -- there was an estimated ship date of 3/29. I didn't put the order through in the hopes that I could find it locally next week, but perhaps it's worth asking whether anyone received a shipping notice for "l'Eclisse"? From any e-tailer?

So how did all of you luck out with an early shipment???
I just checked my order and it says "Shipping estimate: April 5, 2005; Delivery estimate: April 7, 2005 - April 9, 2005".
Shipping estimate... April 5? Next month?? Like not today, not tomorrow, but another three weeks from now?!?
Ah man, what gives what gives?

I actually wish they had shipped you my copy instead, since I won't have a chance to really devour this for a week or two. I just skimmed the supplements on disc #2 (and watched the full Lucas/Coppola interview... 20 minutes or so).
Looks to be a really sweet package. Frankly, Criterion can tackle the rest of the Kurosawa catalog if they want. I'd love to buy a set like this every 3 months or so...

Mine arrived yesterday. Same thing happened with MY OWN PRIVATE IDAHO. Both had been delayed from their original release and then got shipped early. Not that I mind, even though that makes four Criterions in one week.

Mine arrived on Monday. I've watched it twice already. Once with the Price commentary. Usually I'm one of the last to get my order when these delays happen.
And when they ship from New Castle via USPS I almost always get it the next day. Who would have thought that USPS gives better service with media mail than UPS!
