No Deluxe Edition of Anchorman at Wal-Mart

I know it varies from Wal-Mart to Wal-Mart but the two around here are NOT carrying the deluxe edition; just the cut and uncut editions. Me and some friends were hanging around Wal-Mart for about an hour and a half like dorks waiting for them to put them out. When they brought out the display stand, I quickly realized that the deluxe version wasn't there. Turned out they weren't carrying. Definitely a disapointing evening, as I wouldn't have even gone out had I know. Guess that shows you can never assume something's going to be somewhere. Just thought I'd give you guys a heads up, in case your Wal-Mart is doing the same dumbass thing.

Thanks for the warning, I guess I'll be saving my $10 gift card for later. I'll be getting my deluxe edition at Best Buy in the morning.

More like 11 P.M.-Midnight, but thanks for playing. And there were quite a few people waiting for it besides us, too.

I don't see what the big deal is. We were all out, had nothing to do, and figured to go get the DVD of a movie that we all loved and saw in theaters multiple times, as soon as we could. You bought the Star Wars Trilogy at midnight, didn't you? How's that any better than us getting Anchorman at that time?

Anyway, I got the set from Best Buy today and half of your posts on this board seem to be dedicated to talking down to others, so I've got basically nothing else to say here. Just thought I'd let people know that their Wal-Mart may not be carrying the deluxe edition. The End.

No one's going to complain about Wal-Mart in regards to DVDs because in many aspects, they've been great for DVD. Their various bargain bin DVDs have been a welcomed delight for many DVD aficionados, myself included. There's plenty of crap within those bins and racks, but there have been some great finds, too. Subsequently, they've forced the hand of the likes of Best Buy to follow suit with similar bins and DVD sections.

And up until last night, they had always been a reliable place to go the rare times I actually wanted to get a DVD at midnight.

I saw three $5.99 bargain bins at my local Best Buy for the first time this weekend.
