krull dvd editted??
I remember watching this movie many times as a kid (HBO?), and I could swear there was more violence than the DVD. Most of the fight scenes seemed toned down - like whenever a Slayer is killed we barely get to see his brain explode. And when the green-robed guy is killed, I thought I remember the fingers going into his back - but on the DVD - nothing.
Am I misremembering things? or has this movie been editted to be more family-friendly? Anyone know?

I too grew up watching this countless times on HBO (it was always on after The Beastmaster, it seemed
) and I also have the DVD. I don't think the DVD has been edited. This was never a very violent movie. I think the perception of this movie has changed for you while watching this movie as a kid versus today.

Kind of like Halloween. My memory of its violence was actually much different than the reality when I saw it again as an adult. I could have sworn there was blood everywhere when I watched it as a kid.

I thought I was the only one who enjoyed this movie as a kid.
Whenever I bring it up with friends they have never heard of it. I never found it to be a violent movie, but I did always find both the swamp and spider scenes to be very creepy - they still get me a little, haha.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind
Haven't seen this on dvd yet, but it was a favorite of mine growing up as well. The only gore I can recall is when a Slayer was killed a small squid like creature came out of it's head and slithered away. Was that edited out?

Kids have the darnedest views on violence.
