Independence Day DVD versions

Hi. I guess it's alittle old, but I was wondering what are the differences between the various Independence Day DVD versions? So far, I'm aware of the 2 disc version, single disc, 5 Star Collection and Limited Edition... I assumed the Limited Edition was the only one that might have that 9 mins of additional footage, but from looking around, it seems that other versions may have that also..
Thanks

The 2-Disc and 5 Star are the same thing with different packaging. The single disc version is simply the first disc from this set. The limited edition is virtually the same as the single disc, but also includes previews for The Day After Tomorrow.

All 4 versions have both the theatrical and expanded versions.

Why do you think they are pushing the Star Wars trililogy?

Because its days are numbered with Episode 3 on its way.

Soon they will sell us all the Hexology....

Thanks for the replies.. I picked up the limited edition version, but might get the 2 disc set for the extras if it's cheap..

I assume the commentary tracks are the same for all 4 releases? Has anyone noticed voices for the actors are not quite synched in the extended commentary track?
Thanks
