Anything you won't watch?

I know that some people are open to watching just about anything, while others don't watch certain genre's (i.e. westerns) or movies by certain directors (i.e. woody allen) or even actors (i.e pauly shore).

What don't you watch (if anything)?

I don't watch the following genre's:

Anime

I don't watch movies with the following actors:

Adam Sandler
Tim Allen

I'm pretty much willing to watch anything once, though I do have a certain limit for the amount of gratuitous violence and nudity I can take.

I shy away from snuff and kiddie porn. Since that wasn't mentioned by the previous posters, we can all assume they enjoy both genres.

I dislike anime, and I'm not too fond of westerns. I stay away from Comic Book movies as well; these past few years I've seen less and less in the theaters as they keep pumping out these movies.. argh!

I don't really care for anime, but sometimes I find a good movie (Princess Monoke & Spirited Away)... Otherwise I usually shy alway from Westerns mostly.

And Speaking of Actors, I refuse to watch Jon Voght (except for tomb raider)

I don't like chick flicks or modern comedies, but the only movie I can think of that I would outright refuse to watch is "Salo".

I stay away from anime as well....I think it's a taste I would need to acquire. I'm also not much for 95 percent of the TV on DVD entries. Older westerns, as in westerns made up into the 50's I don't watch.

No "urban comedies." And no Julia Roberts movies EVER (I did make a rare exception for Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, however, but that's it)!!

I also stay away from "chick flicks," but a couple favorites of mine might be considered "chick flicks" (13 Going on 30, Bridget Jones' Diary, and Love Actually).

Movies with small dogs on the poster or cover art invariably suck. Not just dogs, but small dogs in particular. There are some good dog movies, but the ones I am talking about are movies that are not about dogs in particular, but comedies that, for some reason or another, have dumb ass small dogs on the cover. There was a golfing movie, for example, some years back that had a small dog on top of a golf ball on the cover of the movie. I don't remember the name of it, but you just knew that sucked.

Dance movies. I am never watching a dance movie. Ever.

Never let anyone tell you that your opinion isn't valid.

I generally won't watch anything that I deem disturbing. Psychologically disturbing = okay; graphic murder = not okay. War violence and such is fine, though, so I guess the motives for killing make a big difference to me. It's the reason I can't enjoy most slasher movies.

Other than that, I'll watch just about anything except the older Westerns.

I find with almost every general thing I can come up with there is at least one exception. For example, Woody Allen, I thought ANTZ was great.

And I'm speaking of only legal movies of course.

I have fairly eclectic tastes as does my husband...I used to think no Adam Sandler until I saw Punch Drunk Love..

However I don't watch...

-'slasher' films ie. Friday the 13th etc, seeing the first Hallowe'en was enough for me
- Farrelly brothers movies
- most modern remakes

I'm the opposite of this - I hate slapstick humor (Sandler, Carrey and others). I LOVE British wit. THE OFFICE was one of my favorite "finds" on DVD, and my favorite overall film last year was "Love, Actually".

I also avoid anything with Bette Midler in it like the plague - fortunately, she doesn't make that many films.

I don't watch...

1. anime, or any animation for that matter with the unique exception of Pixar titles.
2. broad, low-brow comedies (bringing down the house, xmas with the kranks, etc)
3. queen latifah movies, the only so-called "actress" that gets on my nerves.
4. anything clearly made without a trace of humanity (cannibal holocaust).

Damn, I forgot the Rock, probably b/c I thought he was done making movies. Add him to my list.

I feel the same way about Clooney, but I really dig Out Of Sight so I can't count him.

Also, add Anime to my list, all of it. I can't stand the crap, it all looks the same.

And add Greg Kinear to my list, the most boring actor known to man.

And a big to high-brow British humor also. Love the stuff.
