Cube Zero fullscreen only?

I noticed that the coverart on Amazon.com for Cube Zero says fullscreen on it. Does anyone know if this will be the only release? Was it shot in fullscreen?

Check DVD Empire - they might give the aspect ratio. Chances are that Amazon would list Widescreen if it was being offered in that format. Sorry. If you create a petition, I'll sign. In the meantime, you might want to shoot an e-mail to the studio cranking this "mistake" out.

IMDB lists this as 1.78:1. Is the Lions Gate release truly Fullscreen only? I was intrigued by Cube and Cube 2, I wouldn't mind picking this up, but not if it's not OAR.

This is getting confusing... there's only one DVD coming out. The Amazon picture clearly says "fullscreen" across the top. But, at DVD Empire, the picture says "widescreen" across the top (and they list the specs as 1.78:1).

I can confirm that Cube Zero, just like the Cube: Signature Series and Cube 2: Hypercube DVDs, is in fact in anamorphic widescreen (16:9).

I have heard nothing about Lions Gate releasing a pan and scan edition of this film, but what do I know?

Thank you for the confirmation! It's odd that the picture on Amazon.com has a "fullscreen" graphic on the cover.

Here's a question for those who have seen it, did you get an early copy or what? Isn't the release date February 22nd?

Ditto spyboy . . .

Cube Zero is a worthy entry into the series. Though flat and repititive in some places, it does bring a new element to the mythology. And an interesting but underutilized character (Mr. Jacks) who seems to riff from Gary Oldman in the Professional.

After listening to the commentary, did anybody else get the impression that (director/writer) Ernie Barbaresh really didn't care for Cube 2?

I'd say it's because Cube 2 asked more questions than it answered.

I'm waiting for the weekend to watch my copy. While I'm not expecting Cube, I'm hopefully expecting something better than Cube 2.
