Seinfeld DVD - episodes out of order?

I am working from memory, but to me it seems like the episodes on the Seinfeld DVD's are out of order. They are in the correct season (I guess), but the episodes are not in chronological order on each DVD within the season. Does anyone know if my observation is correct?

Thanks.

I had the "Notes About Nothing" feature enabled while I was watching all of these episodes and it explained that they are in the order of production, not airing. NBC shuffled some of them around.

NBC also did this with Homicide; this was also corrected for the DVD release IIRC.

There's one episode... the one where Kramer has to pick up Jerry and Elaine at a party (the one with the "Maybe the dingo ate your baby" line from Elaine) that was produced during the second season, but aired during the third season.

IIRC, the DVD puts it back where it should've been in the first place.

Yes, they're in production order, not air date order. It actually makes more sense, since there are elements of continuity through even these early episodes. So "The Stranded" (the one with that great dingo line!) does get moved to Season 2. (One of the extras for that episode is a tiny clip that played before that episode when they aired it in Season 3, explaining that indeed it's out of order and some of the events don't match up with the current season, ie. George's job)

On a personal note, when Elaine said this line (especially the second time) I leterally had tears from laughing so hard.

I have not picked up season 3 yet and have a question. According to production numbers at tvtomb, "The Parking Space" is #322, the last episode of the season. "The Keys" is #321, the next to last episode. Since "The Keys" sets up the "The Trip" 2 parter to start off season 4, it should be last, even though it was not produced last. Which way do they have it on the dvd?

The Parking Garage is on the first(maybe second) disc of season 3 to my recollection. I just watched it the other day. It is definitely NOT the last ep. of the season, b/c I still have a couple of discs to go.

Season 3 ends on The Keys on DVD. And he means The Parking Space, not The Parking Garage, the former being the penultimate episode of Season 3.

Quick question:

How do you get the Notes about Nothing to work?

I've turned them on..but I've never seen a little popup or anything about them.

It doesn't work on my Season 1&2 nor does it work on my Season 3.
