Good comparison shots of The Matrix

Sometimes the VHS versions are better.
Sometimes the newer transfers do indeed, have better quality, but I just don't see it in this over-hyped Matrix set.

I'll rebuy the first movie if they release it alone, but I'm not re-buying all 3.
I like the sequels. Some people need to loosen up a bit and just try to enjoy them for what they are. Sure, they're not as great as the first one, but they are fun to watch.

And I've been sarcasticized by a Special Edition.

Yeah, who knew? We could have saved tons of money by not buying the Star Wars set. We could have just kept our old SE VHS tapes and adjusting our TVs to get'em to look like the '04 DVDs!

the original transfer was and still is great compared to so many hundreds of DVD's out then and still now...and did the job for nearly 6 years. just bc they colorized it and amped up the detail slightly to make it fit better with the sequels doesn't mean the old was crap in anyway shape or form.

Believe it or not, some people's eyes DO work and don't actually have to be spoonfed what to think or enjoy.

Let's all go over to DVD Polizei's house to watch "HERO" since he evidently has a pristine transfer of the film on DVD, since he, unlike so so many reviewers and videophiles, thought to adjust the brightness, color and contrast on his TV.

NOT compared to the new transfer of the original since it didn't yet exist, but compared to "Reloaded" and countless other newer movies who have benefitted from several more years of DVD technology than did the original Matrix DVD. I knew THEN that the transfer appeared dingy, washed out and nowhere near on par with "Reloaded."

If you (not you, Admiral7) think that the original Matrix transfer is great even to this day, I'll point you towards a river in Egypt.
