Could this be where the layer-switch is? Usually, if you rewind to just before it, depending on your player, the switch won't be as noticable than if you have watched it all the way through to that point.

This is most likely a function of your receiver, some receivers take about 1/2 second to a full second to aquire the audio stream. If you set the audio source select to "digital" it should eliminate most of that delay. When a unit has auto signal select on, it has to search briefly, causing the audio delay.

So the audio is missing for a whole chapter? I'm still not clear on what is going on. If it is missing you have a bad disc, you should just take it back and get a new one.

its not really a big problem, its just bugging me. when i skip to chapter 41 theres no audio. i have to go to the chapter ahead or before it and rewind or fast forwards to get to that chapter with sound. it plays fine if i watch the entire movie. the problem only happens when i go directly to ch 41. if i were to start watching the movie from ch 41 i wouldnt have audio the rest of the movie. i tried out my friends copy and the same thing happened so its definitely something wrong with my player or receiver because he said it worked fine at his place

Yeah, it sounds like your setup. I've never even heard of this happened before, so I have no idea on how to help.
