A Different World???

I have wanted this series forever. For those who may not know, it was a dramedy series that revolved around the lives of a bunch of friends @ Hillman college. Specifically, it was a spin-off from the Cosby show. Does anyone have any info on this series on DVD?

I think The Cosby Show would be released first.

Technically, it has been released through Columbia House. I have nine volumes on DVD already.

Re: A Different World???

So I searched for A Different World using DVD Talks search thread option and that was not helpful, I then searched on Google and said A Different World show DVD Talk and this is one of the threads that popped up, so to heck with it. Bumping this long dormant thread.

In the Malcolm-Jamal Warner remembrance thread I mentioned that I shy away from rewatches of Malcolm's admittedly great performance in The Cosby Show because I just can't...knowing what we know know about Cosby. Well, since this show was a spin-off and the focus was not at all on Cosby I have always wanted to do a rewatch from beginning to end, and I noticed that it is on either Hulu or Tubi, so I will be jumping back into this show and from what I can remember I am confident I will enjoy the rewatch.

I have been on kick lately where I am rewatching in some case very long running shows that I only watched very sporadically when they aired (Murder She Wrote), or watched most seasons when they aired (Bones), and it just makes me feel good rewatching some of these shows I grew up with.

ETA: It is on Tubi, not Hulu. I do not see a countdown on Tubi as to when a show/film will no longer be available to stream, so it should be safe for me jump in and not worry about it being pulled from Tubi anytime soon

How odd...I was completely off-base, not on Hulu or Tubi, but it is on Netflix and I have stated watching. I just have to hope it does not leave Netflix anytime soon.

Also, holy cow...Loretta Devine was way young in this show. I have always pictured Loretta the way she has looked for the past 10-20 years, not as she did in this show. She starred on this show for 10 episodes and the show first aired in 1987, I had forgot that the show first started when I had not even graduated High School (class of 89).
