It was a good show, I was hoping they would have done more Made-For-Tv movies though.

I think it was rumored for a while that they were going to do a second one. I think that fell through.

Actually there were two TV movies made for the Pretender. The first one was called "The Pretender 2001" and the second one was called "The Pretender: The Island of the Haunted" which technically was the last episode of the show.

On the last TV movie, it's revealed that
Spoiler:
Miss Parker's dad may not be her real father but instead it may be Mr. Raines.
I don't remember anything else so if anybody remember, please feel to post them.

Strange this, I was over in France this Tuesday and they do the Pretender series on DVD already (they call it "la Chamelean") in boxsets of 11 episodes per box and they have about 6 boxes so far, but didn't get it as I'am going back in January. So now I'll wait. However I did get the R2 France versions of Immortal, 3-discer Pulp Fiction and the REALLY COOL Kill Bill boxset.

Woo! I love this show. It was the first show I was obsessed with (hey, I was 11 when it started), so this is a must buy for me. I hope they have actor commentaries as well.

Does anyone know if this was ever filmed in widescreen for HDTV? It would rule to see this in 16:9 for even just the last couple of seasons (or hell, even just the movies).

jdslater :
In France, we have the complete TV Show edited on DVD, all the four seasons. It is titled : Le Cameleon (as the animal).
Each season is split in two boxes. So, there's 8 boxes in all.
I don't know much for bonuses... never really care to watch those... But i doubt there's much bonuses. I think this edition is the "french edition" made with the french masters. So they cannot create bonuses they don't own or even have, for the bonuses will be made for the US DVD edition... That's what i'm thinking.
As for the movie-for-TV, i don't know if it is included in one of those box.
If you wish to get those, i advise you to check if cdiscount.com will deliver over your place for they have the cheaper price for those boxes... Fnac and Amazon over charge too much for those boxes.

ok, i've just checked amazon.fr.
The movie-per-tv will be released here as a single DVD.

here are some of the french cover art :
Season 1 :

Season 2 :

Season 3 and 4 will be in the same artworks but one will be green and the other purple.
Voila...

I just finished watching Season One and I am hooked.

Is there any word of a release date for Season Two?
