Then you will never buy another WB title again.
You are in the camp of people who believe that DTS in name alone is superior to DD. That's not always the case. As stated many times, DD can be as good or better than DTS if properly done.

So there.

Every major retailer had Blade Runner on sale this weekend. Wal-Mart practically gave it away for $3.88. There's no reason to give away this particular film...unless a new one is on the horizon.

This title was released back in '97, with no extras and a shitty transfer. It is the perfect candidate for the bargain bin.

I can't much to what FinkPish said other than this is one of the worst DVD's ever made. It doesn't even have a real menu. The only people that buy this disc are the people that don't know any better.

The Blade Runner dvd is NOT one of the worse dvds that's ever been released, it was actually pretty good at the time. Technology moved on. Same thing for the first Batman film. I mean, it's not even a flipper(like the original discs of Goodfellas and Amadeus were). We're talking a seven(almost eight) year old disc, here. The standard today is just far higher than in the medium's infancy.

I finally relented and picked it up at Wal*Mart for $3.88.
It will have to hold me off until some miracle happens

Ok why can't warner just re-release the DC in a remastered version? With maybe comentary for Ridley scott! I need this dvd! I can live with a two disc remaster till a better version aka super deluxe 4 disc set comes out.

Other than making fun. What is the problem with re-releasing the DC cut remastered? I thought that only the other cuts was the problem.
And by the way, english is not my native language.

As for Jerry Perenchio, there's a saying that goes "it's better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt". Until we hear the story from him, I'll think him quite the fool thankyouverymuch.

Blade Runner is completely OOP in the UK, Germany, France
It is only available Used and New at Amazon's European sites. There was rumour that a 2-disc was being released in 2005 of the DC with a new transfer, DD5.1 and the "On the Edge of BR" docu. I don't see why they couldn't also include a commentary by Scott.
Warner are obviously working on something, but who knows what or when it will be released...

there's a Caps Lock key on your keyboard.
For the most part, I really have my doubts that we will see a good blade runner dvd package down the line considering all the road blocks it has infront of it.
Oh well, still got the laserdisc.
