GUNGA DIN - December 7
A friendly reminder that the R1 version is finally coming out on Dec. 7. Here's the cover art:
via Amazon.com: http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0...1.LZZZZZZZ.jpg *** Quite some time ago I posted some info about the European version of this film with some nostalgia materials...(those that remeber that is :) )...so here are a few again: http://www.carygrant.net/fotogallery.../gd-lobby3.jpg http://www.owensvalleyhistory.com/fa...gunga_din1.jpg http://grovers-aunt.tripod.com/gungadin_.jpg Cheers, Pro-B |
I've always wanted to see this one being a long time Cary Grant fan and a more recent George Stevens one. Neat looking cards/promos.

Will be getting this but what are the extras if any?
|
Cary Grant + George Stevens = I'm so there.
|
A must buy for me.

Indeed there are extras, but for some reason, Warners haven't done too much shouting about them:
Commentary by historian Rudy Behlmer "On Location With Gunga Din" making-of documentary Original and re-issue trailers, Vintage Porky Pig Looney Tunes cartoon "The Film Fan." I remember Mama will, released at the same time will also have an intro by George Stevens Jr. |
I've never seen the film but I'll definitely be picking it up, since I have a lot of faith in both Cary Grant and George Stevens.
Sounds like a pretty good DVD release too, for the price it's available for on Amazon. |
I have the laserdisc and will probably get the DVD unless Warner messes up the transfer badly.
