The Big Red One SE?

I got excited when I read on Roger Eberts site said that the Big Red One has recently had lost footage restore by Richard Schickel and the movie was re-released this year. Is there any word on a Special Edition DVD of this movie?

Although the movie itself is not entirely accurate in some aspects and details I loved the way Sam Fuller told the story and his underlying message about the horror of war. Lee Marvin is wonderful in this movie.

I've been thinking of posting about this movie too. The article on the Ebert site, or one it linked to, definitely said something about the reconstructed version eventually being on DVD. Has anyone heard any rumors when that will be?
