Is "Anamorphic" the same thing as "Enhanced for Widescreen"?

I will add to that Gamera: Guardian of the Universe, which says "16:9" but is non-anamorphic.

Just to pick the first one you listed, I don't see "16x9" anywhere on the 12 Angry Men packaging. The back says "Widescreen 1.66:1, Theatrical release formant."
