Girl on the Bridge - Region 1 release?
I saw this movie awhile back on TV and immediately fell in love with it. Is there any chance of this coming out? Criterion perhaps?

I'm surprised this amazing film hasn't come out in reg1 yet, loved it since I saw it on the big screen...I picked up the reg 2 some time ago, just a beautiful film. This deserves the Criterion treatment(just, please, *yellow* subtitles-white ones are invisible half the time on this film).

I also fell in love with this film during its theatrical release and picked up the region 2 some time ago. I'd absolutely love to see Criterion release this. A commentary with Leconte, Auteuil and Paradis would be icing on the cake.

...back in 2000 Paramount noted that there will be NO dvd release of Leconte's film. An American remake (similar to what happened with L'appartement...now Wicker Park) is in the making/being considered.
Option: use either the Aussie R4 or UK disc, French if you do not need subs.

....not to play the contradicting game here but I am 100% sure that IFC did show the film as my sister-in-law taped it. She does not own a region-free player and therefore does not have the R2 dvd,
Pro-B
ps
for the record i dont know where PopcornTree lives but I am in ...well, sadly Chicago.

I'm not gonna disagree with you, I just know I saw it on a different channel. I used to live in this small town near Tampa.
