Is the 007 Tommorrow Never Dies Limited Edition Box Set Rare???

Hello Everybody,
I was at my local record store today, looking in the dvd section and saw the Tommorrow Never Dies Limited Editon box set which Ive never seen before. I already own the movie but it was only $15.00, so I told them to hold it till tommorrow so I could come and ask you fine people if its rare.
Thanks in Advance

You mean the version with the silver cover?

It's hard to find but it's not really worth much. If I recall is has some features that aren't on the later release but the later release also has a few extras not found on the silver covered version.

If you like the movie then I can see owning the silver version but it really isn't worth anything.

The only TND box set I've seen is the VHS Box Set that contains the complete shooting script.

$15 is a pretty good price for that and probably worth a buy. Nice find!

I have the VHS set, got it for I think 7 bucks at Office Depot's bin a few years ago, or one of those similar stores. I have only viewed the movie though, not the other tape.

Well I just got back from picking it up, and you guys were right about it being the vhs set. The reason I got mixed up because it was in the dvd section, and doesnt say what format it is on the box. It is still a cool set for $15.00 though.
thanks alot and ill talk to you guys later,
Ian

I'd imagine you can take the tape out and fit a DVD in there, can't you?

It's not very rare, if you're still wondering about that.

While I realize this post deals with the VHS boxed set, Are there actual different versions of this movie on DVD, or are they simply differences in packaging? The MasterofDVDs post mentions different features? Is the one in the DVD boxed set different than the standalone version? I'm confused.

I believe there was a barebones release, with WS and P&S. Then the silver cover SE (my very first DVD!), then the SE in regular packaging. I believe the whole lot is OOP and there are rumors that everything before DAD is getting a highdef scrub and reissue on DVD.

The silver case release and the later James Bond Collection release (with the big-head montage) are exactly the same except for the cover art. Even the booklet and the artwork on the disc itself are identical. It's the same disc, just new packaging.

I see it in the pawn shops from time to time, don't think it's rare but cool looking nonetheless
